The main concept of Kaizen

Kaizen and Management
In the context of kaizen, management has two main functions of the Maintenance and Improvement (illustration pict-1).
Maintenance: activities to maintain the technological, managerial systems, the existing operational standards, and maintaining these standards through training and discipline, management efforts so that everyone can follow SOP.
Improvements: activities that lead to the increase in the existing standards, improvements can be divided into two, namely innovation and kaizen (illustration pict-2).

Kiazen Oriented in Process
Kaizen emphasizes process-oriented mindset, because the process must be improved so that results can be improved, the results that failed is a reflection from the failure of process. Management must find, identify and correct errors in the process. Kaizen focuses on the human, this concept is a very opposite with western concept that focus on result.

Kiazen run PDCA-cycle 
The first step in Kaizen is run PDCA-cycle (Plan Do Check Action), the PDCA-cycle was introduced by WE Deming has been practiced in Japan in kaizen activity is a means to ensure the sustainability of kaizen activities to realize the maintaining and improvement.
PDCA cycle is illustrated in pict-4 describes the PDCA wheel must be rotated upward through the maintenance of (horizontal) to achieve stability and improvement activities (upward sloping) to increase even higher.
PDCA wheel must always run up without stopping, its mean improvement is never ending.

Kaizen most Important is Quality
Kaizen placed the quality on the top priority, quality have large meaning, quality is QCDSME (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Moral, Environment).
Improving the quality is the main goal of kaizen, that is increase Quality, reduce Cost, reduce lead time process until delivery, increase good Safety, increase good moral, increase Environment healthy.


Kaizen Speak with Data
Kaizen always keep consistency in analyzing the problem base on correct facts, using the correct data will give correct solution. Kaizen describe methode of problem solving by systematically steps. Kaizen is not give permit to problems is going on continue, but use the problems as examination to find good solution so everything will be more perfect.
  
Kaizen Assume That The Next Process is The Customer
Accordance with the kaizen principal that is process oriented, kaizen has princip that the next process is the customer for the previous process, this princip applied throughout the internally process chain, with implementation this princip, the quality will always be maintained since early, and assured the quality that out of the company are the best quality.
Each process do the simple 3 way:
          1. Not input things of defect or not conformity
          2. Not procss things of defect or not conformity
          3. Not out things of defect or not conformity.
